Your Guided Tasting Experience

Coffee First. Caffeine Equation Second.

It would be easy to describe Half-Caffeine Blend only by what changed: part caffeinated coffee, part decaffeinated coffee and less caffeine than a comparable fully caffeinated blend.

But you're still buying coffee. Experience it as coffee.

👃 Aroma

Bring the freshly brewed cup toward you before drinking. Breathe in. Don't worry about identifying a particular flavor. Simply notice the coffee and how its aroma changes as the cup cools.

☕ First Sip

Forget the caffeine label for a moment. Let the coffee reach your palate and notice what you experience naturally. The caffeine story explains why the blend exists; the cup determines whether you want another sip.

🌊 Body & Texture

Let the coffee move slowly across your palate. Notice its weight and texture. Brewing method, grind, coffee-to-water ratio and extraction can all influence how the finished cup feels.

🌗 Character

Half-Caffeine Blend occupies the space between fully caffeinated coffee and decaf. Its identity isn't built around either extreme. It's another option for the coffee drinker.

🌡️ Taste It as It Cools

Taste the coffee hot, put the mug down for a few minutes, then return to it. Aroma, body, overall character and finish may seem different as temperature changes.

✨ Finish

Swallow and wait. Notice what remains after the sip and whether reaching for the cup again feels natural.

Half-caffeine doesn't mean half a coffee experience.

What Is Half-Caff Coffee?

Half-caff coffee combines caffeinated coffee with decaffeinated coffee.

That gives coffee drinkers another option between regular caffeinated coffee and fully decaffeinated coffee.

But half-caff does not mean caffeine-free.

Decaffeination removes most of the caffeine from coffee, but decaffeinated coffee can still contain caffeine. The caffeinated portion of a half-caff blend contributes caffeine as well.

Decaffeination generally occurs while coffee is still green, before the beans are roasted. Afterward, the coffee can be roasted and brewed like other coffee.

First decaffeination. Then roasting. Then brewing.

🌗 Does “Half-Caffeine” Mean Exactly Half the Caffeine in Every Cup?

Not necessarily.

Caffeine levels naturally vary among coffees, and decaffeinated coffee can still contain some caffeine.

Your prepared cup introduces additional variables, including:

  • How much coffee you use
  • Serving size
  • Brewing method
  • Extraction

That's why TrustPureCoffee does not invent an exact caffeine percentage or milligram number for your finished mug.

Useful description. No imaginary numbers.
