Honduran Coffee — Deeper Roast, Mountain-Grown Story

Our specialty coffee is roasted for your order and delivered fresh to your door.

A Medium-Dark single origin for coffee drinkers who want more roast presence without moving all the way into dark-roast territory.

Honduras gives you two stories in one cup: the story of coffee grown across a mountainous country with six recognized coffee regions, and the story of what happens when that coffee is developed further through a Medium-Dark roast.

Breathe in the aroma. Take the first sip. Let origin and roast meet in the cup.

Your Guided Tasting Experience

Explore What Medium-Dark Roast Brings to the Origin

You don't need professional tasting vocabulary to understand this coffee. Pay attention to the relationship between the Honduran origin and the deeper roast development.

👃 Aroma

Bring the freshly brewed coffee toward you before drinking. Notice the warm roasted aroma first without forcing it into a specific named tasting note.

👅 First Sip

Medium-Dark roasting moves the coffee beyond the middle ground of a Medium Roast. Let the first sip show you how the stronger roast presence works with the coffee underneath.

🌊 Body & Texture

Don't only taste the coffee — feel it. Notice its weight and texture and how your brewing method changes the experience.

🌍 Terroir & Origin Character

Honduras is not one single coffee landscape. Its six recognized regions differ in elevation, climate and geography. The country name gives the coffee an origin, but it does not mean every Honduran coffee will present exactly the same way.

🔥 Roast Character

This is where Honduras separates itself from the Medium Roast coffees in your collection. The roast has been developed further, allowing roasted character to become a more noticeable part of the cup without automatically becoming a full dark roast.

✨ Finish

After swallowing, wait before taking another sip. Notice how long the roasted impression remains and whether the cup invites you back.

Honduras gives the coffee its origin. Medium-Dark roasting gives the cup another layer of character.

❤️ Who Will Love Honduran Coffee?

This coffee deserves a place in your rotation if:

  • You want more roast presence than a typical Medium Roast.
  • You are not necessarily looking for the deepest Dark Roast.
  • You enjoy comparing single-origin coffees from different countries.
  • You are curious about how roast level can change the way an origin presents itself.
🎛️ The TrustPure Brew Recipe

A Simple Starting Point for Pour-Over

A consistent recipe makes it easier to understand the coffee instead of changing several variables at once. Start here:

☕ Coffee: 20 grams

💧 Water: 320 grams

⚖️ Starting Ratio: 1:16

🌡️ Water: About 195–205°F / 91–96°C

⏱️ Starting Brew Time: About 3–4 minutes

Treat this as a starting point rather than a rigid rule. Your grinder, brewer, water and personal preference may call for small adjustments.

Brew consistently first. Adjust after tasting.

Six Coffee Regions — One Honduran Coffee Story

Honduras's official coffee institute, IHCAFE, recognizes six major coffee-growing regions: Copán, Opalaca, Montecillos, Comayagua, El Paraíso and Agalta.

Each region has its own geography, elevation, climate and coffee-growing conditions.

Coffee is also deeply connected to Honduran family livelihoods. IHCAFE reports that coffee production is a way of life for more than 100,000 Honduran families and extends across mountainous areas in hundreds of municipalities.

Altitude is part of that story too. IHCAFE recommends coffee planting above approximately 900 meters in suitable areas, although elevation never works alone. Climate, rainfall, soil, variety, processing, roasting and brewing all influence the final cup.

Honduras on the bag tells you the country. The mountains, regions and people reveal how much more there is behind that one word.

How many major coffee regions does Honduras have?

IHCAFE identifies six major coffee regions: Copán, Opalaca, Montecillos, Comayagua, El Paraíso and Agalta.

Does all Honduran coffee taste the same?

No. Honduras's growing regions differ in geography, elevation, climate and agricultural conditions. Roast and preparation create additional differences.

Is TrustPureCoffee Honduran Coffee Medium-Dark Roast?

Yes. This Honduran Single-Origin Coffee is offered as a Medium-Dark Roast.

What does Medium-Dark Roast mean?

Medium-Dark roasting develops the coffee further than a Medium Roast, allowing roast character to become more noticeable without necessarily moving all the way into a full Dark Roast.

Why are mountains important to Honduran coffee?

Much of Honduras's coffee is grown in elevated, mountainous areas where altitude, climate and geography form part of the growing environment. Elevation is only one factor among many that influence coffee.

How should I brew Honduran Coffee?

Pour-over, drip and French press are useful starting methods. Use a consistent recipe first, then adjust grind, ratio or brew time based on your taste.

Should I choose whole bean or ground?

Choose whole bean if you own a grinder and enjoy grinding shortly before brewing. Choose ground when convenience is the priority.
